== Joseppi asked: How to modify KDE4 menu, main panel, and desktop?
1) How to add desired apps to menu "All Applications" (not sub-heads)?
2) How to eliminate "Recently Used Applications" (duplicated under Actions)
3) How to manually hide and un-hide the main panel?
4) How to move and arrange panel icons in desired sequence? Partially solved.
5) How can I change the "PC" icon on the main panel to a different icon?
6) How can I get rid of the nuisance cashew in the upper right corner?
7) When I right click on desktop > Desktop Settings > "Get new wallpapers"
It says: "Network error (3)" - How can I fix this to find new wallpapers?

== Just18: For (7) It failed to make a connection over the internet. Check connection.

== Archie: For (1) and (2) ... Right click on Application Launcher icon.
1) select Edit Applications. Note tools to Add New Item or Submenu. Save changes.
2) select Application Launcher Menu settings. Untick Recently Used Applications > OK
5) select Application Launcher Menu settings. Click Options. Click Icon and change > OK

== Linuzoid: For (3), right click on the panel > Unlock Widgets if locked >
   > click on the cashew on the right side of the panel > choose More Settings > Auto Hide.
4) right click on panel > Unlock Widgets > click on cashew > move cursor over icon to move
   > move it to the desired position on the panel (J: rt clk to keep it there) ???

== Archie: Better to do one issue per post
== Grandpa: After each fix, remember to "lock widgets" again
== Crow: Re multiple questions, see: http://pclosmag.com/special.html
== sammy2fish: Keep It Simple Stupid.

== Archie: The best way to learn is hands-on. If something is really broken,
lots of experts here will lend users a hand. But best to learn how to fix things.
== Old-Polack - Of what use be there for joy, if not for the sharing thereof?

== aguila: Re (5) right-click desktop > unlock widgets > right-click PC icon >
   > click settings/options > click on the icon and choose a different one.

== Bald Brick: Re (3) to manually hide and un-hide panel? You can't in KDE4.
Linuzoid told how to make it auto-hide. Not the same thing as hiding manually in KDE3.

== aguila: Re (3) What you can do is choose "Windows can cover panel" which makes
the panel always visible except when application windows cover it. It will come
to the foreground when you hit the edge, just as with panel autohide. This way
it is visible when windows are not maximized, but out of the way when they are.
Quite usable for a second panel where I have my menu button and app starters.
